Savoy Vase 3030 design by Alvar Aalto for Iittala

Savoy Vase Design Alvar Aalto Iitala Design vintage 1970s. Iconic vase signed by Alvar Aalto for Iitala in white glass, in perfect condition, very decorative. It is a magnificent piece by the designer, engraved underneath. The signature is hand-engraved at the tip (the inscription "Alvar Aalto" is discernible), a typical marking method of the Iittala factory for its older pieces, later abandoned in favour of sandblasting or acid moulding. Usage scratches on the underside of the vase are normal for an opal glass piece that is several decades old. They remain invisible when the vase is placed down, and there are no cracks or other scratches on the walls of the vase.
