Vase Savoy 3030 Alvar Aalto

Savoy Vase Design Alvar Aalto littalia Design. 1970s. Iconic vase signed Alvar Aalto for Littala in white glass, in perfect condition, very decorative. It is a magnificent piece by the designer, engraved underneath. The signature is hand-engraved at the tip (the inscription "Alvar Aalto" can be distinguished), a typical marking method of the Littala factory for its older pieces, later abandoned in favour of sandblasting or acid moulding. Usage scratches on the underside of the vase are normal for a piece of opal glass that is several decades old. They remain invisible when the vase is placed down, and there are no cracks or other scratches on the walls of the vase.
