Pair of portraits from the early 19th century, in a Shabby Chic style. On the left, a man is depicted in bust, in three-quarters view, dressed in a dark double-breasted coat and a white high-collared shirt, typical of early 19th-century fashion. His expression is sober and reserved, conveying a certain bourgeois dignity. On the right, a woman is portrayed in a similar posture. She wears a brown dress adorned with a colourful shawl and fine lace at the collar. Her elaborate hairstyle, enhanced with curls, as well as her discreet jewellery, indicate a comfortable social status. A flower vase appears in the background, adding a decorative and symbolic touch. There are some minor damages to the frames, and the painting is in good condition except for very small losses on the background of the man's portrait.
