Description
Original and authentic aquatint etching after louis icart, produced in 1932. It represents a japanese garden, featuring characteristic elements of japanese culture such as trees, bridges, ponds and flowers. Louis icart is famous for his elegant style and drawings of glamorous women, but in this work he offers a poetic and delicate depiction of japanese nature. Signed in the plate, lower right. The dimensions of the work are 28 cm high by 38 cm wide. In excellent condition, with slight natural yellowing of the paper attesting to its authenticity.
