Small print/lithograph (?) by Jean Villette (1913-2005)

I am selling this small lithograph/print signed jean villette (1913-2005), artist and historian from chartres, specialist in chartres and its cathedral, to which he devoted numerous works. The drawing precisely represents chartres cathedral and its surroundings – the artist's favorite motif. On the back, a label “with the compliments of the center universitaire chartrain des retraités” and a green sticker inscribed “59” testify to the probable exhibition of this drawing during the artist's lifetime: this work was acquired in batch at the opportunity for an auction in chartres in september 2023 during the dispersal of the jean villette collection; the twenty other drawings, charcoals or lithographs which made up the lot also have stickers on the back, or even annotations in the artist's hand. I kept some of them, i'm getting rid of the others because I don't have enough walls to hang them all! Very good condition: no tears or defects to report. The photographs are an integral part of the description: look at them carefully! Sheet format: h. 22 X l. 29 cm. Drawing format: h. 15 X l. 22 cm.
