Wooden mallet, Le Chat Hoffmann starch

Authentic antique wooden trunk from the early 19th century, compact in size and particularly decorative, preserved in its superb original black patina and bearing the marks of its history. Crafted by hand, it features beautiful dovetail joints and iron side handles. Its interior remains raw, revealing the simplicity and authenticity of its old construction. But its true charm is revealed upon opening: the inside of the lid is lined with an old advertisement for Hoffmann products, a famous starch manufacturer, illustrated with its iconic cat. An old advertisement full of character, with its red and black typographic design and beautiful engraved illustration. The paper naturally shows signs of age, which fully contribute to the authenticity and spirit of this piece. A trunk that can be used as a storage chest, coffee table, end of bed, or simply as a decorative object, with a strong presence and a unique story.
