Created in 1970 by Gianfranco Frattini and Livio Castiglioni for Artemide, the Boalum is a cult lamp of Italian design. Its flexible translucent resin tube encloses a chain of bulbs diffusing a soft, continuous light. A true light sculpture, it can be placed, hung, coiled, or modulated at will, and can be connected with other segments to form spectacular compositions.
