I am offering this wall-mounted coat rack, often attributed to the influence and design of Jean Royère, the renowned French decorator and designer. It is characteristic of his work for luxury hardware and accessories in the 1940s and 50s, with its modernist design and double loop/ring shape. The piece is made of high-quality mirror-chrome bronze/brass, typical of the period (note a few chrome chips, see photo). The hook is marked "Déposé" (Registered) on the back, attesting to its original and protected production (not a copy). There are no "JR" initials on this piece.
