Two Imigongo paintings / panels traditional art from Rwanda

The imigongo is a panel painted with geometric patterns with protruding edges. The thickness of the painting is made of dung, considered in rwanda as a noble and useful material. Mixed with ashes, it is then placed and shaped on the wooden panel. After drying, the work is painted with natural pigments. Dimensions: 30 X 20 cm the relief, the apparent sobriety, the depth of the straight or curved lines which entirely occupy the panels allow multiple arrangements on the wall. Alone or in pairs, these panels are real eye catchers in an interior. Price per piece. The pair: 65 euros.
