Bamiléké shield from Cameroon, black and white, solid wood, diameter 55cm

Traditional African Bamileke shield, handmade in Cameroon. The shield is carved from solid wood, it contains white African geometric patterns on a black background which are covered with kaolin. The back of the shield includes a handle. This piece is unique because its manufacture is 100% artisanal. Can be used as wall decoration by providing a suspension system. Diameter 55cm.
