Louis Paolozzi, French modernist of the post-war boom

Louis Paolozzi is a French designer active in the 1950s and 60s, whose furniture production fits within the sober modernist vein of the Reconstruction. Closely linked to the publishers ZOL and Sentou, he signed desks, bookshelves and armchairs where light wood, lacquered metal and formica compose a language close to Alain Richard's and Pierre Guariche's. A signature little documented biographically, but whose pieces are today sought by lovers of post-war boom French vintage furniture.

Louis Paolozzi desks and bookshelves for ZOL remain the designer's most identifiable pieces. French vintage furniture to find for those wanting a rare French modernist signature, in the vein of Caillette and Richard.
