Bar cabinet by Louis Paolozzi for René Godfrid, 1950s

Beautiful bar cabinet designed by louis paolozzi for the french manufacturer rené Godfrid. With this cabinet, paolozzi introduced the well-known italian design from the 1950s to the rene godfroid collection. Note the beautifully shaped base and the seemingly invisible drawers. The cabinet is made of an oak veneer corpus with solid oak end stripes to prevent damage. The base is made of solid mahogany with copper cover plates. The cabinet is in very good condition. Only a few well-executed, older restorations. Unfortunately there are some chips on the door handles but overall the handles are very solid. It comes with the original keys. Please note that this cabinet is made in two different heights. The one presented here is the tall cabinet with long legs, giving it a good amount of storage space.
