Orientalist portrait signed

Orientalist painting by louis endres representing a portrait of a moroccan in traditional dress. Louis john endres (1896-1989) was a french-american painter. He studied at the school of fine arts in cincinnati and then at the tiffany foundation in new york. He then moved to france. From 1926 to 1930 he made many trips to morocco and finally settled in rabat in 1931. He became a member of the society of french orientalist painters. His works are sold to museums and prestigious private collectors such as president eisenhower, the duke of nemours and moroccan dignitaries.
