Painting by Jacques Gendron

Jacques gendron (1916-2008) is a former student of the beaux arts de paris where he was a massier at the fresco workshop of ducos' de la haille, he set up his workshop in ceret after a professional career which took him to the other side of the world: saigon, angkor, laos, indochina, india and new caledonia. Painter, writer and passionate about south east asian civilizations, he brought back numerous films and reports from his travels as well as paintings made on site. This painting is one of two representing two women from one of the many countries where he lived. Board size: 46*55.
