Folding brewery bench

Charming folding bench that will remind you of good memories! Memories of village festival, ball of july 14, summer evening where we chatted with friends sharing the meal prepared by a local association. They were found in all these parties as early as the 50s. And they were solid! To withstand so many uses, in all weathers, year after year, and still be there today! This one probably dates from the 50s or 60s, it is still very solid, wood and metal are thick. The folding-unfolding-blocking mechanisms work very well and the metal legs are well anchored in the wood. It can still serve many years to invite your friends on the terrace or in the garden for a friendly moment. And be folded up and stored quickly. The wood has been repainted orange-red, the feet are lacquered green, probably original. I cleaned it carefully, I treated the beetle (old, not active it seems to me) by injection into the holes and generous brushing of crystal vinegar on all the wood (this is my natural method to replace the chemical insecticide). I brushed the metal parts to remove the excess corrosion, then I passed antirust (rustol, which prevents the corrosion present to evolve, without removing the "rusty" patina, and while allowing to repaint or varnish on it later if you wish). It is therefore still in its juice, with its patina of at least 60 years: apparent surface corrosion, various stains and marks, cracks, beetle holes, but will be protected again for a few years. It measures 2.20 m in length, 27 cm in width, 47 cm in height. It probably weighs 15 or 20 kg.
