Six cups, a cafe Illy collection Sandro Chia/R. Ginori 1993

Since 1992, Illy art collection, small art objects in the shape of coffee cups design numbered and signed. The simple gesture of drinking an espresso then becomes an experience of the senses and the spirit. On the idea of Francesco Illy, more than 100 artists from the contemporary scene have spoken on the surface of porcelain cups, edited by Richard Ginori (Italy) the illycaffè icon designed by Matteo Thun. The cups present here are illustrated by Sandro Chia, artist of the Italian movement "trans avant garde"
