Set of three antique hand-painted plates

Charming trio of antique plates in fine earthenware, hand-decorated with a naive floral pattern in vibrant colours: raspberry pink, leafy green, periwinkle blue, and bright yellow. Each piece is bordered with a burgundy rim on a slightly wavy shape, a discreet signature of a rustic yet delicate style. Not stamped, but all signed "CH" on the reverse, these plates strongly evoke the regional productions of Eastern France, particularly Alsace (Soufflenheim) or Franche-Comté, known for their tradition of hand-painted decorative earthenware. The pattern, both simple and expressive, is in line with the popular table arts of the mid-20th century. Diameter 23 cm. Good vintage condition – slight signs of use on the edges, no micro-scratches from use, a very slight chip on the burgundy rim of one of the plates. Ideal for a rustic wall decor, a vintage brunch, or a mix & match table with retro charm.
