Vintage green bubble glass bottle vase - Biot glassware? – soliflore H27cm

This lovely vintage vase is made of bubble glass in a beautiful green colour. It is a modernist bottle, typical of the 1970s, probably a creation from the Biot glassworks. It is mouth-blown using a traditional technique: at the base, you can see the mark from the break of the blowing cane. Biot bubble glass has existed since 1956, when glassmakers succeeded in creating bubble glass by mastering the bubble, trapping it between two layers of glass, thus turning a flaw into a quality. Between tradition and creation, each piece of glassware is unique, as it is mouth-blown by master glassmakers. The neck is flared. It is not signed. Whether as a water bottle or a soliflore vase, you will find a use for this lovely vintage vase. In very good condition, this vase measures 27 cm in height and 4.5 cm in diameter. There are some deposits inside.
