410 g Height: 29 cm Ellipse length of the base 7 cm Master glassmaker from the Vosges of modest origins François-Théodore Legras, arrived in Saint-Denis at the age of 24, went from simple worker to director of the glassworks in just three years. The Saint-Denis glassworks, created in 1859, avenue du Président Wilson (formerly avenue de Paris), are closely linked to the career of the man who was its manager from 1867. Legras production, regularly rewarded at international exhibitions between 1880 and 1900, declined after the First World War and finally ceased in 1960. The Legras glassworks and crystal works offered three main types of production: utilitarian glassware for chemical, pharmaceutical or commercial purposes; creative colored glassware decorated with decorations and "bottles with subjects". The bottle offered here is not exceptional but rare. It bears the mark of a registered model. Perfectly displayed on a shelf, this specimen reveals its craftsmanship during a particularly meticulous photoshoot. These are not post-birth cracks. KitchenRMSlelves250827.
