Colomba brushed aluminum table lamp by Walter & Moretti, 1970s

French design studio founded in 1960 by Isaac Walter and Giancarlo Moretti, their creations focused mainly on working with aluminum, like those of many designers of the time. The Colomba lamp fits perfectly into this movement. Normally, the lamp is supposed to contain a switch in the shape of an ovoid pebble that allows the lamp to be turned on and off by means of a magnet (see the ad in the last photo). On ours, the pebble is missing... But the lamp still lights up! Traces of wear on the metal, stains marking its use and some scratches.
