Antique oil painting on canvas, classical landscape from the early 20th century, dated 1904. Landscape by a wooded pond with a small figure on the left bank, a boat on the water in the foreground with a second figure. Several houses in the background. A dead tree on the right. Beautiful brushwork by the painter. Soft tones, beautiful light. Predominantly green and blue. Dimensions: 56.5 x 45 cm. This antique painting is in good condition, with some minor losses and old tears that have been repaired. Canvas reinforced during restoration. It was restored in 1955, as evidenced by the text left by the restorer on the back of the work: "This painting was repaired by R. Dardolet in March 1955. It bore the following inscription on the reverse: 'Given to Lucie on May 8, 1904. V. Darautière (?) [painter's name uncertain])'." Carefully packaged and well protected for shipping.
