These chairs are french-made with a rounded shape with a curved wooden back (consistent with folding wood after steaming rather than cutting it - a specialty of baumann's manufacturing). For several decades, this furniture and chair factory based in colombier-fontaine in the doubs, has occupied a prominent place in its market. Created in 1901 by emile baumann of swiss origin, it was his son walter baumann who took over the management of the factory and quickly developed it. Installed in an old saboterie, it is the chairs and furniture for children that originally make the reputation of the baumann house. Then its range expands by offering all types of curved wooden furniture for individuals but also for breweries, hotels, offices, theaters, hospitals, ... Like the thonet, khon and mundus factories, the baumann brand is synonymous with quality and the privileged witness of an era rich in inventiveness. The chairs are in good condition and very solid.
