Oil on canvas by Jacqueline Luyton (1923-2018) This amateur painter, who never exhibited or sought to sell one of her paintings, was a former resistance fighter, very committed to the left. She frequented Picasso, Briata and Fernand Léger. She was the wife of the Toulon architect Paul Luyton, whom she had met in the resistance.
