This charming wall-mounted coat rack with metal structure and 8 ball-shaped hooks in red, yellow and green lacquered wood reminiscent of billiard balls is an icon of 50s design and will remain fashionable until the 70s. Before returning to it today. In the vein of “hang it all” by charles eames published by the herman miller company and the “treble clef” standing coat rack by roger féraud, it will be available in numerous versions, then reissued again and again! This one does not seem to me to be a later copy, the balls are in lacquered wood as in the original. It has a bracket on each side, each has two holes for fixing to the wall. It is in good structural condition, very solid, the welds are intact. But it does not hide some signs of its 60 or 70 years: the black lacquer was missing, so I repainted (matte black) the metal structure. The balls are in good general condition, not split but have various marks (stains, scratches, etc.) as well as gaps in the colored lacquer, I just applied a thin layer of varnish to protect them and prevent the lacquer colored no longer flakes. But overall, the biggest shortcomings are not too visible when the coat rack is hung on the wall. It measures 62 cm in length, approximately 18 cm in width, approximately 11 cm in depth and weighs approximately 700 g. I offer two other similar coat racks, click on "view the store", do not hesitate to contact me via messaging if you wish to order several, to negotiate prices and/or for me to adjust the shipping costs. Sending for combined delivery.
