Antique amphora vase in iridescent pink blown glass – Murano, Italy, 20th century

This superb vase is made of iridescent pink blown glass. Shaped like an ancient amphora, it has a Roman style - certainly a production from Murano in Italy in the 20th century. In the Venetian glassmaking tradition, this vase is made of iridescent pink blown glass, featuring a swollen shape, a narrow neck, and hot-applied handles. It is a handcrafted piece, mouth-blown, showing the mark of the blowing rod, and the edge of the neck is rolled. This pitcher vase has bubbles and a sort of limescale deposit on the sides. In overall good condition, I note discreet signs of use. This vase measures 15 cm in height and 10 cm in diameter.
