We are delighted to offer for sale this rare and exceptionally original Howard & Sons sofa dating from around 1880, a two-seater, with arms and cushions filled with down and feathers, an ebonised frame in the Aesthetic Movement style and Claw & Ball feet, featuring its original chinoiserie fabric. The sofa is very comfortable with all padding made of feathers and fibres. The Victorian period fabric is very rare, heavily worn and faded, with beautiful Chinese patterns. The Victorian frame is sturdy with no need for repair. This sofa is completely original and unrestored, leaving the choice to the new buyer for any future restoration.
