Danish two-seater sofa in beech model 2240 by Fritz Hansen

Danish two-seater sofa in stained beech, model 2240, designed by Søren Hansen in 1939 and manufactured by Fritz Hansen. The backrest and seat are made of "floating" moulded plywood, upholstered in beige and white velvet. Dimensions: Height 75 cm, Width 165 cm, Depth 75 cm, Seat height 43 cm. Origin: Denmark. Period: Mid-20th century. Condition: Good condition, restored, showing signs of wear consistent with its age and use.
