Rare set of four Model 6800 dining chairs designed by the renowned Swiss architect Kurt Thut for Dietiker in 1983. A perfect example of late 20th-century Swiss postmodernism. These chairs beautifully bridge architectural minimalism with the bold and graphic aesthetics of the Memphis movement. The design relies on an ingenious construction method where the solid beechwood components are seamlessly stacked over a hidden structural core. The high contrast black and white colour scheme combined with the horizontal slatted backrests gives the set an incredible graphic presence.
