The tenera series was designed in the 1960s by nils thorsson (1898-1975) for aluminia, a manufacture whose name disappeared in 1969 to make way for royal copenhagen. The sets in this series were created by other artists, such as this cup decorated with a stylized plant motif, which is due to the danish artist berte jessen. It is signed under the base of the "a" for aluminia, the initials of berte jessen and the numbers "439" for the decoration and "3178" for the form, created in 1962 by berte jessen. The small cross under the "m" in "denmark", indicates that it was produced in 1966.
