It's late. Like, really late. You've just finished your umpteenth rewatch of an old dude from the 70s, one of those where the guys have impeccable sideburns and corduroy jackets. The room is immersed in subdued light, and there, enthroned in the middle of your living room, your Polaris gives you a knowing look. This chair is your forever sidekick. Designed in 1967 by the genius Pierre Guariche for Meurop, he has seen it all, experienced it all. Solid as a rock, filled with soft foam and dressed in blue/purple velvet, it invites you to lose yourself in your thoughts. Or in another cinematic turnip, your choice. Two small tears visible in the photos. Its cross-shaped feet promise you unfailing stability. It's not just an armchair, it's a time machine. You're Steve McQueen, you're in "Bullitt", except you don't need to fight, just get comfortable. So, who wants to sit in this Polaris and relive the glory days of the seventies, one night at a time? Because in this chair, every night is a cult scene and every moment, a classic.
