Taichiro Nakai for La Permanente Mobili, bookcase, lacquered iron, teak, glass, brass, maple, circa 1953. Nakai contributed to the international recognition of Japanese design. One of the few known facts about Taichiro Nakai is his participation in the famous Italian competition, the Prima Mostra Selletiva del Mobile in Cantù from September 17 to October 5, 1955, where he won a special prize for this living room set. This piece of furniture shows light wear consistent with age and use, but no major defects.
