Pretty and quite astonishing Art Deco jam cabinet in solid blond oak from the 20s/30s. What is astonishing about it is its main door opening system. It includes the two upper side parts which are generally integral parts of the piece of furniture. As a result, it detaches "around" the upper drawer, creating a surprising geometry. Mounted on hinges, the door closes thanks to a brass flap which makes a very satisfying little "click" when closing. Inside, an original shelf mounted on racks (therefore adjustable) offers beautiful storage spaces. The small upper drawer, with its beautiful triangle decoration (solid oak), opens and closes thanks to a key and a lock (a little capricious, it works, but mainly serves as a handle). The top has a pretty cornice. This piece of furniture has been completely cleaned but there are tiny traces of its past lives, including pale remains of traces on the top. The geometric decorations on the doors also echo the staircases in the lower parts of the sides, typical Art Deco marks. Solid, stable, and clean. More photos on my website, les-meubles-terra. H: 80 cm. W: 57 cm (overall). D: 43 cm. Payment upon collection. The price is fixed, thank you. Delivery possible in the Paris region and ground floor for 40 euros.
