Old Cast Iron Planter – Medici Basin on Stand – 27 cm – 5.5 kg

Antique planter / decorative basin in cast iron, in the Médicis style, resting on a square base. A beautiful heavy and very decorative piece, adorned with fluting, shell motifs, and a relief frieze around the edge. The cast iron has a superb old patina in rust brown tones, with darker and greenish nuances in the reliefs. The surface has been intentionally preserved in its old state: signs of oxidation, wear, irregularities, and marks of time are visible and contribute to the character of the piece. An antique piece, probably from the late 19th / early 20th century. Ideal as a planter, pot cover, or element of interior decoration, winter garden, conservatory, or classical / neoclassical style decoration.
