Large antique Louis-Philippe mirror – White painted wood – 19th century

Large antique Louis-Philippe mirror – Painted white wood – 19th century. An important and elegant antique mirror from the Louis-Philippe period, dating from the 19th century. It features a wide moulded wooden frame with rounded upper corners, characteristic of Louis-Philippe mirrors. The frame is highlighted by a delicate bead frieze running around the glass as well as on the outer edge. The off-white painted finish, slightly patinated by time, gives it a lot of charm and nicely showcases its mouldings. The antique glass shows small irregularities and natural marks related to its age, contributing fully to the authenticity of the whole. The back retains its original construction of assembled wooden planks reinforced by crosspieces, visible in the photographs. With its beautiful proportions, this mirror can be simply placed on the floor, installed on a fireplace, or hung on the wall.
