Old wooden work box, foldable suitcase, 19th century

Charming old artist's case in light wood, foldable from the late 19th century, decorated with 2 nightingale birds on the top, transfer to wood, giving a little extra romantic touch. Work box, 2 brass handles on each side which allow you to open the accordion box. The traces of paint inside indicate a function as a painter's case but this type of box is often used for sewing work... Small painter's suitcase, storage box, very decorative, charming object, always useful, rare model. In good condition, apart from a crack on the underside of the box but does not weaken the whole (see photo 7) dimensions: 21/16/7cm weight: 480gr.
