Large antique blue earthenware dish

Superb oval dish in antique earthenware, featuring a cobalt blue floral decoration in the centre and a frieze on the rim. The reverse is brown glazed, typical of regional productions from the late 19th to early 20th century. There are signs of age-related crazing and a few small chips on the edge (see photos), but it has a lovely overall appearance. Dimensions: 37 cm X 27.5 cm. Height: 4 cm. Weight: 1.1 kg.
