A very fine set of four Calais earthenware plates dating from the second half of the 19th century. Beautiful "pagoda" decoration depicting an Asian-style landscape printed in underglaze blue with a cracked glaze. "Calais" stamped on each plate. Diameter: 20 cm. Good overall condition, minor firing defects, one with a crack on the rim and small chips, see photos. The set will be carefully packaged and shipped with a tracking number.
