Victorian velvet sewing box

Box from the 1860-1865 period, dimensions 10cm*14cm*6cm in bright red velvet, gold brocade braid and gilded bronze details. The handle has flower patterned engravings and a cross in its center. The lock is decorated with cherubs, putti in gilded brass. The screws are all in very good condition. The interior is made of dark red silk in very good condition for its age. It contains a chatelaine-style brooch made of the same ribbons as the inside of the box, a family crest and fleur-de-lys. The interior contains all the places to accommodate a sewing kit.
