Chair 800 Baumann x Max Bill

The chair No. 800 G was designed by Max Bill, a Swiss architect and designer, for the French manufacturer Baumann in 1955. Max Bill takes advantage of the characteristics of plywood to provide these chairs with a curved, comfortable, and welcoming backrest. The result is a unique, highly graphic design, with lines accentuated by the use of textured and coloured faux leather. The series of 6 chairs 800G is therefore a Baumann production intended for both homes and bistros and restaurants. It is a lightweight, colourful chair, whose distinctive silhouette promises comfort and a vintage feel! The Baumann chairs by Max Bill are vintage, dating from the 1950s. The legs are made of solid beech wood. The seat and backrest are made of thermoformed plywood. The colour is light, golden.
