Description
I part with my beautiful 1950s levallois lamp meticulously restored by me. Very elegant and sleek design for the industrialist, this lamp was used between the 30s and 60s in garages to illuminate the engines of vehicles under repair. I stripped her leaving a little of her patina which is beautiful and applied wax to protect her from oxidation. I completely redid the electricity, I added a retro switch to stay consistent with the style of the time, I put a bayonet socket and I chose a nice black braided cable, the whole balances rather well the old and the practical. This lamp is simply ready to light up. Only one small defect, the bakelite blocking handle has a bit of play but it blocks the top well when you adjust the height. Thick sheet metal lampshade, steel body and cast iron base. Two steerable arms and swivel head. Traces of wear and patina, normal given the use to which this object was originally intended. It's an object of character. Size: adjustable height from 120cm to 230cm maximum. 43cm X 43cm base. Thank you, good buy!.
