Bedside

Pair of Louis XV-style bedsides. Their drawer facades have been modified to incorporate, while following the original vertical curve, square section cups. These were burned symbolizing the simplicity in the face of the complexity of this initially voluptuous furniture. Embrace of Epoque then creates a temporal mix allowing this modernized bedside pair to regain its place in our interiors in a simple and contemporary way. The cups then create a contrast of matter between the smooth appearance of the violet wood and the roughness of the burnt wood. The original bronzes of these antique furniture have been deliberately oxidized in order to allow time and naturalness to regain their rights.
