Cantilever office chair

Italian cantilever office chair from the 1990s. A cantilever chair is a design where the seat doesn't have traditional back legs, but rests on a cantilevered structure. This means that the frame, usually made of tubular metal, supports the seat and backrest in such a way as to create a suspended form that gives the impression that the chair is floating or levitating. This type of design lends a visual lightness and a certain flexibility to the chair, as the frame structure allows for slight movement when sitting, thus offering particular comfort. The Zefla brand was created in 1971 in Valdago, Italy, and specializes in the manufacture of seating. The chair is upholstered in very high-quality faux leather.
