Antique painted box/needlework/jewellery box monogrammed CL

An old painted wooden chest, monogrammed with the initials CL, likely used as a workbox, dating from the early last century. The interior is original silk upholstery and in good condition. The chest has been lightly restored (wood re-glued at the back and on the lid), the top has been lightly sanded to reduce water stains and re-waxed. The vibrancy of the colours in the design has been preserved. Height 19.5 cm, width 49 cm, depth 33 cm. Weight 5 kg.
