Italian Marble Dining Table, 1970s

A large and heavy marble dining table with a faceted oval base and an oval top. The top sits on top of the base and an inserted steel support that slips into the top of the base that forms an extended plate for the top to sit onto. The top and base have their original varnished surface that has yellowed slightly over the years, in a few places around the edge and in one area in the middle of the top there is some losses or cracking of the varnish (but not of the marble).
