It is proud to look at this traditional English set of 2 armchairs and 4 Windsor chairs. Of England, the first models were allegedly introduced in America by the settlers in the years 1700. Different models were then created from this Chair. With regard to this superb suite, it is Wheelback type, the peculiarity of which is to present a folder with a wheel motif. The short story is that King Georges 2 having laid his seant found it very comfortable and sturdy to the point that he had it copied by his own furniture manufacturer. Seat in solid Elm, base beech turned. Pretty patina, tint: dark mahogany. Good general condition. Traces of normal use. H.: 97/92. Prof.: 53/47 l: 58/39; H/seat: 45
