We all know the famous Wassily chair, designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925-1926 when he was head of the carpentry workshop at the Bauhaus in Dessau. The abstract painter Wassily Kandinsky, who was his colleague at the Bauhaus school, admired the shapes so much that Breuer made a second one for him. Revolutionary in its materials (curved steel tubes inspired by a bicycle handlebar) and because it was light, inexpensive and easy to assemble, like many other modern objects, the chair was produced in series from the 1960s onwards, and still published by Knoll. We have here an original armchair (old edition from the 60s and 70s) in its state of use, unique and rare piece. Dimension: Height: 73 cm, Depth: 69 cm, Length: 79 cm.
