A black and white lava glaze ceramic vase by marmaca san marino. Freeform organic 1950s asymmetrical bottle-like shape. On a front a colorful depiction of san marino, italy. Including the castle and some houses. Written: “ricordo di san marino” or “memory of san marino”. On the back a flower in blue, green and yellow. Signed underneath: marmaca, rep. S. Marino. Marmaca was founded in the 1940’s by luigi masi, filippo martelli and wilfredo carli. Hence the name marmaca. Condition report: Excellent vintage condition, no cracks or chips.
