Pair of 1950s rattan chairs

Pair of 1950s chairs with a structure made of black lacquered steel tubing, featuring a woven rattan seat and backrest. The legs, of a slender section slightly flared, support a trapezoidal seat and an inclined band backrest, in the modernist vocabulary of the post-war period. Each chair measures 43 cm wide, 49 cm deep, and 77 cm high, with a seat height of 43 cm. The weaving is complete on both seats, with a consistent honey patina and a few slightly raised strands; the lacquer on the legs shows signs of wear. Lightweight and easy to store.
