Pair of Vintage Thonet Bentwood Dining Chairs, Viennese Cane, 1960s–1970s
Pair of Vintage Bentwood Chairs by Thonet, 1960s–1970s. The displayed price is for the pair. A beautiful pair of vintage bentwood dining chairs manufactured by Thonet, most likely during the 1960s–1970s. The chairs are crafted from dark-brown stained beechwood and feature elegant rounded legs with curved supporting braces. Their slightly concave, trapezoidal seats and elongated backrests are complemented by traditional Viennese cane weaving. The beechwood frames have been carefully restored and finished with natural oil, enhancing the warm color and character of the wood. The cane seats have been completely renewed, while the original cane backrests remain in very good condition. The chairs retain their original manufacturer’s markings. The original Thonet label became detached but is still present and will be carefully reattached. An additional photograph showing the original label will be added later. Both chairs are structurally stable, in very good vintage condition, and ready for everyday use.
