Forest, oil on canvas signed Marianne Spier

This forest was painted in 1951 by marianne spier (1930-2023) in a cubist style, with a tawny palette. In 1942, his parents, german jews, were arrested and then deported to auschwitz. Marianne and her brother will then be taken in by an italian philanthropic businessman. Angelo donati. He adopted them after the war.
